Ever since last Tuesday I have really been wondering where I belong. I have been a Republican since I was 18 (now 32). But I really have been looking at the party and who it has become. When I think about what we have gotten done over the 12 years I really wonder if we got everything done that we wanted. I remember sitting at home in 2002 when in Georgia (My home state) they guy that I had been pushing for Saxby Chambliss won the U.S. Senate from a long time Dem.. I was so happy. We had a Republican Governor for the first time in 40 years. We had both the State Senate and State House, U.S. Senate and U.S. House. And best of all George W. Bush. I just knew that we would get everything taken care of. We would ban Partial Birth Abortion. We would get lots of Conservative Judges through. Isn't this the reason we worked so hard to become the majority. But really we didn't do that much. Yes we did get 2 on the High Court. But look how many judge are never going to get a vote. We were the majority. I remember when we weren't the majority. We fought. We were out on the t.v. telling how what the dems were doing wrong. Look people say that congress should try to work with the other side. Well it may just be me but I never see the other side working with us. All I see is the dems on t.v. saying how everything we do is wrong. All we do is try and not make people mad. Well i'm tired of getting our butt kicked in the press. I'm tired of seeing people like Lincoln Chaffey the party. He isn't a Republican. He is about a republican as John Kerry. Why do we have people like that in the party. What good is it to have 55 republican senators yet we have to fight just to get 49 votes. With the people we have we need to have about 75 senator just to be able to have 60 votes. So what if we only have 47 senators. The dems stopped all the senate work with less than that. But you just watch and see I bet we let them role right over us. We have now got Trent Lott back in the leadership. Now it wasn't long ago when he had the great idea of sharing control of the senate with Tom Dashel. Now if that wasn't the dumdest thing. We need a real whip. But the truth be we will never have a whip in the House or Senate like Tom Delay. Say what you want but I bet you if the were a senator there would have been alot more judges voted on in the past 4 years.
 We need to figure out if the Republican party is going to be the party of the conservatives or if there need to be another party. Now I hate these third parties more than anyone, but it seems that the Republican seem to have forgotten who has gotten them elected. I assure you it wasn't moderates. Conservatives need people in congress who believe in life, less government, less taxes, and LESS SPENDING. Everyone in congress has forgot that. Then people vote out men like Rick Santorum. I hope he moves to Ga. and runs for senate. We have enough in us to send him there.
 I'm very interested in hearing what you thing about the issue of the conservative voice in congress. Do you think we have enough of a voice? Do we need one real organization to get our voice out there? Or do you think it will take another couple of elections like this one to make them realize how they got the majority? Don't forget the man that started our sting of majority 12 years ago. Newt. Now he will run for president, but i'm sure he want win because people think he is to conservative. Well we need to figure out if we want to be conservative or have people represent us and not have the same beliefs we do.
